26 Nov Restaurants Esplore, awarded by FEHR in recognition of our commitment to people with disabilities
Our restaurants Esplore, belonging to ILUNION Retail, have been awarded by the Spanish Federation of Hostelry(FEHR) in recognition of our commitment to people with disabilities . We are very proud of it!
The CEO and the director of the chain of stores of ILUNION Retail, Antonio José Barea and Carmen Peralta, together with the maîtres of our two restaurants Esplore, Pablo López and Mª del Mar Fernández, received this award at the delivery ceremony of the FEHR Awards, in the Auditorium of Ciudad de León.
According to Antonio José Barea, this award “is an incentive for ILUNION Retail to continue working for its social goal of generating quality employment and opportunities for people with disabilities”.
By the way, our restaurants Esplore are qualified as special employment centers, where 70% of our workers have disability.
In addition, our premises are accessible, with entrances with automatic system and ramp, adapted bathrooms and bars, braille menus and accessible cutlery. Among other adaptations, we also have intelligent guidance beacons that help people with visual disabilities move through our premises with total autonomy. Furthermore, our restaurants also have induction loops that people with hearing impairment can use with their compatible hearing aids and cochlear implants and hear clearly in noisy environments.
Thank you for this fantastic prize!
